Grades: 10th - Adult. Level 2 - 5. Looking for a mind-body practice that will challenge your whole body while calming your mind? Weight training through the use of your own body weight will increase your lean body mass while improving your stamina, strength, flexibility, balance and body alignment. Various level options will be demonstrated so you can easily create your own practice. Any yoga or Pilates experience is recommended. Practiced barefoot. You just need a mat and water bottle. Instructor: Victoria Cendrowski, M.Ed, over 45 years experience. 9 classes. No class 7/3.

Iyengar Yoga

Grades: 10th - Adult. Level 1 - 4. Experience invigorating yoga postures using the methods of BKS Iyengar to strengthen the body, create a feeling of well-being, reduce stress and release tension through physical activity and meditation in this hybrid class. The use of yoga props and individualized teaching are emphasized to allow students of varying experience, ages, flexibility, and strength to participate together. You need to be able to get down to and up from the floor. This class will be offered simultaneously in person and virtually through Zoom. Please have your own yoga mat, props, and water bottle to enjoy this class virtually from home. For those attending the in person class, mats and props are available to use or you can bring your own; please bring your own water bottle. Grades: 10th - Adult. Level 1. Balance your body and increase energy through yoga. Standing and seated poses along with breathwork releases physical and mental tension. Improve your balance, body alignment and range of motion. Must be able to get down and up from the floor. Please have your own mat and water bottle. The location has been moved to Eberwhite Gym for the Summer Term. If you've never done yoga, this is the class for you! Instructor: Cinda Hocking, CYI. 6 classes. No class 7/4, 7/11, and 8/1.

Chair Yoga

Adult. Level 1 - 2. Combine breath and movement. Gently stretch your body and bring a sense of calm to your mind with this online class. Learn how to practice yoga in this basic class while sitting in a chair, using the chair for support when performing any standing poses. Focus on breath work, stretching, strengthening, gentle movement of the joints, and relaxation. Open to all ages and abilities. Please have a water bottle and a straight back chair (with or without arms) to use during this virtual class. Instructor: Carl Gunderson, CYI (Tuesdays). 9 classes. No class 7/4.

NEW Chair Yoga with Weights

Adult. Level 1 - 2. Gently stretch your body and calm your mind while strengthening your muscles and increasing your range of motion! Learn how to practice yoga sitting in a chair, using the chair for support when performing other movements/poses. In addition, improve muscle strength and joint stability with light weights. Focus on breathwork, stretching, strengthening, flexibility, and relaxation. Open to all ages and abilities. Please have a water bottle, 1 lb hand weights (soup cans or water bottles) and a straight back chair (with or without arms) to use during this virtual class. Grades: 10th - Adult. Level 2 - 3. Do you prefer a mellow yoga practice that seeks to unify the body and mind? This balanced form of yoga will use a combination of asanas, breathing techniques and relaxation to increase your balance, strength, flexibility, and will steady your mind. Please bring your own yoga mat, towel, water bottle and any additional props, such as blocks and straps, to class if you feel it will be helpful to your practice. Instructor: Jeanne Hagadone, RYT. 7 classes. No class 7/12 and 8/9.

Healthy Back Yoga

Grades: 10th - Adult. Level 1 - 3. Soothe tension throughout your body and develop a healthy spine using classic yoga postures and techniques. Increase your flexibility in restricted muscles and joints that inhibit the use of the spine and strengthen muscles that support the back.
