All winter Adult Fitness classes will be in-person or online

and the AAPS Covid-19 Health and Safety Protocols will be followed. The document contains an overview of the current prevention and mitigation strategies for Winter 2022. As information and guidance about Covid-19 changes, these strategies and levels of deployment art subject to change. The MOST up to date prescreening questionnaire for all participants can be found here.

Belly dance for fitness in this virtual class! Everything you love about Belly dance with a core focus on strengthening and toning the abs in a highly effective way. Experience an enjoyable workout that fuses international music with the fluidity of Middle Eastern belly dancing. Must have taken one previous Bellyfit class, a belly dance class, or have instructor approval. 10 classes.

Tai Chi for Balance

Learn a few simple methods of Tai Chi that improve physical balance. Master Young will teach a modified version of Tai Chi for exercise, relaxation, and balance. Class can be repeated for additional benefit. Please note, this class will be offered simultaneously in-person and virtually (via Zoom). 6 classes.

A 'virtual' transformation for your body! While using dumbbells in the convenience of your own home, this online class will help you tone up, trim down, and build strength. Learn basic weight training principles using free weights to target major muscle groups. If you have 3#, 5#, and 8# hand weights you can use them in this class. If you don’t have weights you can use soup cans, water bottles, or your own body weight! Each class will end with balance, flexibility, and core bodywork. All fitness levels are welcome.

High-energy and fun! Get your heart rate up with this challenging workout. Balance, strengthen, stretch and tone the entire body through the integration of barre work, body weight, Pilates and light weights. Great for sports conditioning! This new high/low energy workout will connect with your life's true rhythm through a combination of rhythmic drum music and movement. Drumsticks, your hands, a fitness ball, or a bucket are all you need to bring the fun back into fitness. Drumming is a great way to release stress and burn calories. You will find yourself dancing, singing, and grooving. Whether or not you have rhythm, you will find drumming is fun and easy to follow, plus you can work at your own pace! 11 classes.
