HALF DAY AM CAMPS

WEEKLY YOUTH TENNIS CAMPS

Rec & Ed is excited to offer a comprehensive youth tennis program for players at any age and ability, giving them a solid skill set to play this great sport for life. All camps feature instruction with fun games, and friendly competition on the last day. All players must bring water and a snack daily. Camps run Monday - Thursday with Friday as rain

make-up day. Camps are held outdoors with no indoor back up. Scholarships available, $50 co-pay. Age appropriate racquets and balls provided. Visit our Tennis Home Page for more program details.

Orange Camp Level 1 + Level 2

Scarlett Tennis Courts

Orange Ball, 60’ Court, Up to 25” racquet. Level 1: Beginner Level 2: Adv Beg/Intermediate Orange balls fly faster and kids move faster, cover more distance, and use a wider selection of shots. Players love the Orange court! Camps are held outdoors with no indoor back up. Scholarships available, $50 co-pay. Age appropriate racquets and balls provided. Instructor: Ann Arbor Rec & Ed certified instructors. Monday - Thursday. Rain make-up on Friday.

Fast Track Camp Level 1 + 2

Ages: 11-13

Half Day AM Camp

FTT Level 1: Beginner, Various Court Sizes/Balls, Racquet size 25” - 27” It’s not too late to start playing tennis! Instructors “fast track” learning essential tennis skills in a fun, yet relaxed environment. Players repeat Fast Track until they are comfortable playing full court with green “dot” ball. FTT Level 2 (previously Green): Advanced Beginner, Green Ball, 78’ (Full) Court, Racquet size 25”- 27” Prerequisite: Fast Track Tennis Level 1 or equivalent skill. Players have defined groundstrokes, can rally and serve inconsistently full court. Precursor to Junior Team Tennis. All players must bring water and a snack daily. Camps are held outdoors with no indoor back up. Scholarships available, $50 co-pay. Age appropriate racquets and balls provided. Instructor: Ann Arbor Rec & Ed certified instructors. Monday - Thursday. Rain make-up on Friday.
