We often hear about strengthening our core, but rarely do we hear about balanced use of our core. The Feldenkrais Method encourages awareness of how you move combined with explorations that promote better aligned and coordinated movement patterns. Learn functional exercises that will engage, balance and strengthen your core. Weakness and imbalance in the core is often the central focus point of many movement problems. This class focuses on engaging and balancing the abdominal muscles, glutes and pelvic floor. 

Instructor: Dale Jensen. 

This class will be offered simultaneously in person (at Harmony in Motion studio) and virtually through Zoom. 1 class.

A 'virtual' or in person transformation for your body! This class will be offered simultaneously in person and virtually through Zoom. Using dumbbells this class will help you tone up, trim down, and build strength. Learn basic weight training principles using free weights to target major muscle groups. Please have/bring your own weights, mat, and a water bottle. If you have 3#, 5#, and 8# hand weights you can use them in this class. If you don’t have weights you can use soup cans, water bottles, or your own body weight! Each class will end with balance, flexibility, and core bodywork. All fitness levels are welcome.

You will find yourself dancing, singing, and grooving. Whether or not you have rhythm, you will find drumming is fun and easy to follow, plus you can work at your own pace!

Re-balance and align your hips, pelvis and spine. Your joints will thank you! The Feldenkrais Method encourages awareness of how you move combined with explorations that promote better-aligned and coordinated movement patterns. Balanced movement in the hips, pelvis and spine can help promote long-term health of your joints as well as make moving (whether walking, running, swimming, biking, etc) more pleasant and fun. Learn Feldenkrais Method® exercises that gently address the entire postural pattern that leads to imbalances. Please bring one 6" x 36" foam roller for this series. Audio recordings and/or outlines will be provided to assist in developing your home practice. Instructor: Dale Jensen.

Our core is pivotal in connecting and protecting the upper body, lower body, and spine. Keeping the musculature of the core strong is essential to our ability to carry out simple daily tasks with stability and ease. In this class you will work on strengthening your transverse, rectus, and oblique abdominal muscles as well as the glutes, thighs, and hip muscles - the entire pelvic girdle - to help strengthen your back muscles and protect spinal movement. Instructor: Donna Kujat. 1 class.
